I’m just getting into pizza right now and oh my god it’s so deep and the fandom is so nice!!!
I ship pepperoni/cheese. Pepperoni/pineapple is so noncanonical, I just think anybody who ships it is pulling them both way out of character.
Okay, I know it’s like, a total crackship or something, and is SUPER UNPOPULAR, but mushroom/pepperoni/cheese is my OT3 and they belong together, forever.
Come on, as soon as you bring in all these weird versions you’re just writing an AU, you might as well not even call it pizza by that point.
That’s what people say about the fact that I don’t even like tomato-sauce pizza anymore and prefer alfredo-sauce. They say it’s not even pizza, it’s just a stupid AU and I should be ashamed. But I don’t even care, I’m kind of a rebel.

WOAH. WOAH. Okay, look. Stuffed crust is a completely canon thing. It shows up here and there. Just because it gets used more in pizzaswitch doesn’t make it or the setting ANY LESS REALISTIC. There are mechanics to it and it works better with some pizzas than others. I’m sick and tired of people saying “yeah that has too much stuffed crust in it, everything would be better off without it.”
Know what? Stuffed crust is a quirk that improves the pizza. It doesn’t take away from it, it doesn’t cheapen it, it enriches it.

Yeah, Spike. The Pizza/Breadstick fandom is better off for combining the two. They work together well, they have the same setting and flavors and everything. They complement each other. I can’t imagine people liking one and not the other. There are even canon crossovers.
Oh my god like a peripheral mention of breadsticks in pizza canon even counts. Listen, I don’t care what everyone says, pizza sauce/breadsticks is just totally implausible and I get so sick of seeing so much of it! Like no one even writes breadsticks/garlic powder anymore, and it’s like cheese has been totally written out. Which is ridiculous because pizza sauce/cheese is like the most canon relationship ever.
And then some people try to put pizza sauce in a deep dish and it’s like what the hell are you even trying to do?!?? I don’t understand why it’s so hard for everyone to accept that pizza fandom and breadstick fandom are similar but different, and that if you’re not sticking to the Margherita pizza canon you’re just basically creating an original food, an just calling it pizza so it can be more popular!!!!!
